I currently have an Antique gold or Old World Gold finish on a Charlotte Mirror Mate frame I purchased a few years ago and would like to change the finish to a burnished brown type of color. I don't mind if some of the gold shows through. How do I prep the frame, what product should I use, and how should I apply the product? I have never done this before so any tips or specific product suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
Ann

Hello Ann,

We first have to say we don't guarantee any of our frame styles will hold paint and will not replace them if anything happens to them after being painted as we have not tested or tried painting those styles. You could try to order samples and test on the samples before painting the frame though.

Our resident crafter, Becky, has spray painted some other styles for fun. She used gray car primer on the frame before spray painting the color she wanted. Since we do not guarantee or recommend painting our frames we can't recommend a specific paint for liability purposes. All I can say is to test it out on some samples first and let us know how it goes!

Sorry I can't be more help!
